As expected, Tecno has unveiled its latest Spark series smartphone in India. The Spark 50 is a 5G phone that comes with a 6,500mAh battery and a Dimensity 6400 chipset. It will be available for purchase starting April 3.
The handset comes with a 6.78-inch display with an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It’s an LCD panel that offers up to 560 nits brightness and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
You get a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone can be configured with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. There’s a microSD card slot available for storage expansion.
At the back, you get a horizontal pill-shaped camera bar that’s made out of 6-series aluminum. It houses a single 50MP camera with an f/1.85 aperture and an LED flash.
For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera housed inside a hole-punch cutout. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with an IP64 Pro dust and water resistance rating along with a MIL-STD-810H certification.
Tecno has offered a 6,500mAh battery on the Spark 50 5G. It comes with 45W wired fast charging support as well. The phone runs Android 16-based HiOS 16.
Other specifications include dual SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi with 4×4 MIMO support, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
The Tecno Spark 50 5G will be sold in Champagne Gold, Fantasy Purple, Ink Black, and Mint Green color options.
Prices start at INR 16,999 for the 4GB/128GB variant and INR 18,999 for the 6GB/128GB option. The phone will be available starting April 3 via Amazon India and Flipkart.
