Smartphones with ultra-thin bezels have been around for years, but a truly bezelless display has remained out of reach. Tecno is now looking to change that with its Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, a prototype device featuring a display with true zero bezels.

Tecno has confirmed in an official press release that its Next-Gen Borderless Concept phone features a display with 0mm bezels. The concept device will be showcased at IFA 2026 in Berlin this September.

According to the company, the 0mm display bezels were achieved through “advanced internal stacking, new screen packaging techniques, and structural re-engineering”.

Tecno hasn’t provided any technical details about these methods, but we expect to learn more when the concept phone is showcased at IFA.

Due to the 0mm bezels, the concept phone is claimed to deliver a true edge-to-edge display, offering an immersive experience with virtually no visible borders around the screen.

Tecno also shared images comparing its Next-Gen Bezelless Concept phone with the iPhone 17 Pro, and the difference in bezel thickness is immediately noticeable.

The concept device still retains a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, though.

The announcement also suggests that Tecno could bring its 0mm bezel technology to future smartphones, potentially giving its upcoming devices a more distinctive look.
