We know that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra before the end of this year. However, the exact timing was never clear. We thought that the two premium tablets may arrive with the Galaxy S26 FE, but they didn’t. Instead, they will come about a month later.
Evan Blass reports that the Tab S12 generation will be unveiled on October 7. That’s a little over three weeks from now.
Extensive leaks have shown that there is little that is holding the new tablets back. They have all the certifications and such ready. We’re not sure why Samsung delayed them – the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra launched in early September (alongside the S25 FE).
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra leaked renders
The leaks did provide a pretty clear picture of what to expect. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra ran Geekbench with a Dimensity 9500 chipset and we expect that the Tab S12+ will use the same chip. Renders have shown that there isn’t much happening with the design (yes, the notch on the Ultra is still there, see above).
The Ultra will have a 14.6” display, while the Plus will have a 12.4” display as usual. There will be no 11” vanilla model this year (just like there was no Tab S11+ model last year). The battery on the Ultra will remain the same at 11,600mAh with 45W charging. The Tab S12+ might get a battery upgrade over the Tab S10+, though.
We’ve also seen leaked prices for the two tablets. The table below shows the prices of the Wi-Fi only models – you can add $150 to the sum if you want a 5G-enabled slate.
