While most smartwatches that purport to measure blood pressure use optical sensors, the Huawei Watch D3 is one of the few that does it right – it has an inflatable airbag cuff integrated into the watch strap and is CE MDR-certified for blood pressure monitoring. The Watch D3 is built for 24/7 blood pressure tracking. There is a new mode that runs measurements before and after you exercise. And even if you don’t think you need a D3 watch, you might still want one – the Health Community feature lets you check in on family members’ health data and will alert you if their watch detects any abnormalities.

In the UK, the Watch D3 is available from Huawei.com, Amazon, Currys and Argos. The watch has an MSRP of £400, but Amazon offers a simple £30 discount. Huawei.com, meanwhile, offers a free Huawei Scale 3 (a smart bathroom scale) and 6x Rewards Points (this offer is available until November 3). There’s more – 10 months of Bupa Well+ health services, which are valued at £200 and include Digital GP appointments, physiotherapy, mental health support and well-being resources.

In Germany, the Huawei Watch D3 is €450 on Huawei.com and €430 on Amazon (with code HUAWEIDE20). Amazon is offering a discount for the FreeBuds Neo when bought together with the watch – down to €89 from their current price of €108 (the MSRP is €130). Huawei’s online store will give you either the Scale 3 or FreeBuds SE 4 ANC, your choice (both are free).

Compared to the Watch D2 from a couple of years ago, the D3 is slimmer (11.3mm vs. 13.3mm), has a slightly larger display (1.92” vs. 1.82”) and has updated connectivity and sensors.
