Yesterday a leak brought us CAD-based renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, and today the same source is back with some fresh new CAD-based renders, this time of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, which is apparently launching right alongside the Fold8 and Flip8 this summer.

As you may already know from previous rumors, the Fold8 Wide has a wider form-factor, just like its name implies, and is intended to placate Apple’s iPhone Fold (or iPhone Ultra), which will also have a wider aspect ratio. The point of these is to not have a square inner screen, but one with an aspect ratio more reminiscent of a small tablet, increasing the usability of that folding display in the process.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide has the codename H8, and the model number SM-F971U. Its design language is similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Edge, especially when it comes to the camera island.
Spec-wise, the Fold8 Wide is said to be very similar to the Fold8, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy SoC at the helm, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. Of course, the screens will have different sizes owing to their different aspect ratios: the folding display will be 7.6″, the cover display 5.4″.

The Fold8 Wide is said to measure 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.9 mm when unfolded, and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm when folded. At the camera bump, the thickness is 14.6 mm. Price-wise, don’t be surprised if it’s going to be very similar to the Fold8.
