Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) aims to expand its portfolio with multiple new SUVs and MPVs featuring multiple powertrains over the next 4-5 years. The upcoming range will include the next-generation Fortuner, Innova Hycross facelift, new Land Cruiser FJ, a derivative of Maruti electric MPV and Corolla Cross SUV. The all-new Toyota Fortuner is expected to debut in late 2026, followed by its market launch in 2027.

Improved Styling
The facelifted model will retain the signature MPV silhouette while featuring a more upright SUV-ish stance. Noticeable changes will be made at the front end. The MPV will get sleeker headlamps, a newly-designed grille, a tweaked bumper along with LED projector fog lamps and a faux skid plate. Other design highlights could include newly-designed alloy wheels, a revised rear bumper and taillamps with new LED elements.
More Features
Inside the cabin, the new Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable seats, a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology and an updated 360-degree camera. Toyota might also introduce a new cabin theme along with revised upholstery and trims.
Same Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross is likely to retain the existing 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0L strong hybrid powertrains. The naturally aspirated petrol engine pushes out a maximum power of 173PS and 204Nm of torque, while the strong hybrid setup paired with an e-CVT gearbox offers power worth 184PS.
Innova Crysta Phasing Out
According to reports, the Toyota Innova Crysta will be discontinued in early 2027. It will be replaced by the new lower-spec variants of the Innova Hycross, targeting fleet buyers. The lower-spec model could miss out on some features to keep its pricing competitive.
