Similar to the XEV 9e, the Mahindra XEV 9S will offer a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra Electric’s logo. In fact, the dashboard design appears almost identical to its 5-seater sibling. This 7-seater electric SUV will also come with a panoramic sunroof, leatherette wrapped steering wheel, new gear lever and sliding second-row seats.

While the official feature list will be revealed at its debut, the Mahindra XEV 9S is likely to come with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated and powered front seats with massaging function, multiple wireless phone chargers, triple zone climate control, 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, Level 2 ADAS (autonomous driver assistance system) and more.
Powertrain could be borrowed from XEV 9e
The powertrain setup is expected to be borrowed from the Mahindra XEV 9e, which is available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options. The smaller battery pack with the RWD system delivers a claimed range of 542km. Its power and torque outputs stand at 231PS and 380Nm. The 79kWh RWD version returns a driving range of 656km on a single charge, and generates a maximum power of 286PS and 380Nm of torque. The higher trims could be exclusively offered with an AWD (all-wheel drive) configuration.
