vivo launched the T5 4G in May, and as promised, the company unveiled the T5 5G today, making it the sixth member of the T5 series. vivo says the T5 5G is “designed for ambitious young hustlers who seek powerful performance, premium design and long-lasting endurance.”
The vivo T5 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7500 Turbo SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It has up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard and runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. vivo has promised three Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the T5 5G.
The vivo T5 5G has a 6.83″ 3D curved AMOLED display on the front with a 2,800×1,260-pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The display also has a punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner underneath for biometric authentication.
Around the back, you get a “Skyline Camera Module” housing a circular flash and two cameras: a 50MP primary (Sony IMX882, OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. The front and primary cameras can record 4K video at 30FPS.
Keeping the vivo T5 5G up and running is a 7,050 mAh battery with 44W charging support. Other highlights include dual stereo speakers, a 3,800 mm2 VC cooling system, MIL-STD-810H certification, and IP68 and IP69 ratings. The smartphone also supports wet touch, allowing you to use the display even with wet hands.
The vivo T5 5G comes in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colors. And there are four memory options – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, priced at INR34,999, INR39,999, INR44,999, and INR49,999, respectively. The smartphone will go on sale in India starting September 9 through vivo’s Indian website, Flipkart, and all partner retail stores.
