Today, a tipster over on X has purportedly revealed the launch roadmap for Xiaomi and Redmi devices in India for the rest of the year. According to him, the Redmi 17 series is going to be launched in the country on September 5.
Then, the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will join the already official Redmi Note 17, either on September 18 or September 20. Finally, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will allegedly arrive in India “by December”.

This has been rumored before, and it’s notable because last year, both the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max stayed confined to China. But it seems like this year the company wants to shake things up a bit. We’ve already seen hints that both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be launched globally, not just in China and India.
Speaking of which, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled in China in September, right after Qualcomm announces the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipsets (there will be two of them, including a Pro that is rumored to power Xiaomi’s next flagships).
