Xiaomi just took the wrapping off the Smart Band 11 in China, with registrations already open on the home market. Now, just to be clear, this is different from the Smart Band 11 Active, which is already a thing, and if Xiaomi sticks to precedent, we can probably expect another entirely different Smart Band 11 Pro at some point as well.
The Smart Band 11 retains the signature pill-shaped display. It has the same 1.72-inch diagonal as the previous version and is again an AMOLED panel. However, unlike the Smart Band 10, which advertises up to 1,500 nits of brightness, the new Smart Band 11 can apparently reach up to 2,000 nits for even easier outdoor visibility.
Xiaomi has also focused on slimming down the design. The body is officially less than 10mm thick this year (9.99mm, to be exact). There is just a 2mm display bezel, and the whole thing weighs just 15.58 grams. That seems less than last year’s model in every aspect, though it is worth noting that Xiaomi has a weird way of advertising the dimensions of the Smart Band, without counting the strap and the heart rate sensor, for some reason, so the real-world figures are going to be a bit higher.
Also, in keeping with tradition, there are a number of different shell material variants to choose from, so we guess this is the “starting weight”. There are ceramic and metal editions of the band as well.
Anyway, the Smart Band 11 is slimmer and slicker, but it still maintains its 5ATM water-resistance rating. Also, it includes all of its tracking, including heart rate, blood oxygen, and stress monitoring, along with dedicated female health features. There are a total of 150 supported sports modes, and Xiaomi has also added professional sleep management with HRV monitoring and AI-based sleep insights.
Impressively, the Chinese giant also says that the battery life is better than last year’s model, with an advertised figure of up to 21 days on a single charge. Other potentially important details include NFC support, though not in every variant of the band. The Smart Band 11 runs HyperOS 4 and has compatibility with Android and iOS.
Currently, the Smart Band 11 seems to only be available for reservation through Xiaomi’s domestic channels and major Chinese e-commerce platforms. The starting price is 289 Yuan (~$43). If you want NFC, it goes up to 339 Yuan (~$50) and the ceramic and metal editions are priced at 399 Yuan (~$60). There are also a plethora of bands to choose from, including some metal and ceramic variants, so the final price total might be higher still. No word on international availability yet.
