Yamaha Motor India has introduced its first premium electric scooter, aimed at buyers looking for performance and practicality. Called the Yamaha AeroxE, the e-scooter has been priced at Rs 2.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s available in a Glossy White colour scheme complemented by black accents and light blue graphics.
The Yamaha AeroxE features dual 1.5kWh removable battery packs, with a combined capacity of 3.0kWh. This setup delivers power worth 12.6bhp (9.4kW) and 48Nm of torque. The scooter offers a claimed IDC-certified range of 117km on a full charge. It takes 3 hours 10 minutes to fully charge a single battery pack, while charging both batteries takes 6 hours 20 minutes.

The two-wheeler maker claims that the AeroxE can achieve a top speed of 95.5kmph in Power + Boost mode. It carries a kerb weight of 139kg. The scooter rides on the 110/80-14 front and 140/70-14 rear tyres. Braking power comes from the front and rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by single-channel ABS (antilock braking system).
The Yamaha AeroxE offers three riding modes – Economy, Standard and Power. As a premium electric scooter, it offers several advanced features such as Yamah Y-Connect app with ride statistics, a full-colour TFT instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation, reverse mode, keyless ignition, traction control system, call and SMS alerts and all LED lighting.
