Yamaha XSR155 Price, Engine Specs, Colours, Features & Key Details


The all-new Yamaha XSR155 motorcycle has recently gone on sale in India at an introductory price of Rs 1,49,990. It’s essentially the neo-retro sibling of the R15 and MT-15 V2.0, sharing the same engine and the Deltabox frame (perimeter chassis).

The XSR155 uses the same 155cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve engine that does duty in the R15 and MT-15. Boosted with Variable Valve Actuation technology, this motor delivers an ideal balance between low-end grunt and top-end performance. It pushes out a maximum power of 18.4PS and a peak torque 14.2Nm. The XSR155 comes with a 6-speed gearbox with assist-and-slipper clutch.

Suspension duties are taken care of by USD front fork and a monoshock unit at the rear. The bike derives its stopping power from the front and rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The bike also features traction control for additional safety.

The XSR155 runs on the 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MRF Revz-s street tyres. It has a fuel tank capacity of 10.4-litres and ground clearance of 120mm. The bike carries a kerb weight of 137kg.

The Yamaha XRS 155 is available in four colour options – Metallic Blue, Greyish Green Metallic, Metallic Silver and Vivid Red. This reto-modern roadster features a round LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with ‘Yamaha’ logo on it, single-piece seat and a round LED taillamp. On the feature front, the new Yamaha bike offers an LCD instrument cluster displaying essential ride information.

Yamaha offers two accessory kits for the XRS155 – Café Racer and Scrambler. The Café Racer package includes a headlight cowl, lever protector and a different seat, while the Scrambler kit adds bar-end mirrors, a more padded seat, rubber tank pads and different side panels.
