3 Tata Sierra Rival SUVs Launching SOON

Tata Sierra has created significant buzz among auto enthusiasts. It arrives as a strong challenger to the segment leader, the Hyundai Creta, as well as other midsize SUVs. Very soon, this space will witness two major product launches – the Maruti e Vitara, the next-gen Kia Seltos and the new-gen Renault Duster. Both SUVs will be positioned directly against the upcoming Tata Sierra. Let’s take a look what these three have to offer.

The Maruti e Vitara will hit showrooms on 2nd December 2025 (i.e. tomorrow) alongside its official price announcement. It’s a 5-seater electric SUV targeting the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV (due for early 2026). The e Vitara will come with 49kWh and 61kWh battery options, paired with an electric motor. The dual motor and AWD setup will be reserved for the larger battery variant. Maruti Suzuki claims that the e Viara will offer a driving range of over 500km.

The official teaser confirms the presence of new headlamps and taillamps, a tweaked front bumper and newly-designed alloy wheels. The new Seltos will also be longer and wider than the current generation, translating into a more spacious cabin. In terms of features, the SUV will offer a panoramic sunroof, new seat upholstery and trims, redesigned dashboard and control panel. Mechanically, the 2026 Kia Seltos will remain unchanged.

The third-generation Renault Duster will make its India debut on 26th January, 2026. Its overall design and styling will be more mature and evolved than its predecessor. Most of its design elements will be inspired by the global-spec Dacia Bigster, including a newly-designed grille with Renault’s signature logo, redesigned headlamps, Y-shaped LED DRLs, new alloys, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and Y-shaped taillamps. The 2026 Renault Duster will come with petrol engines only, possibly a 1.0L turbo and a 1.3L turbo.
