India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki will finally make its EV debut with the e Vitara in early 2026. The Brezza facelift is expected to arrive by mid-2026 with noticeable upgrades. Meanwhile, the Maruti Fronx flex-fuel will hit showrooms in the second half of the year. The Indo-Japanese automaker will also introduce an electric MPV (codenamed YMC) towards the end of 2026.

Upcoming Hyundai Cars in 2026

Hyundai Motor India will give midlife updates to the Exter sub-4 metre SUV, Verna sedan and Ioniq 5 electric SUV in the second quarter of 2026. All three models will receive subtle updates inside and out. The Hyundai Bayon compact crossover is also in the pipeline. It will come as a strong rival to the Maruti Fronx, featuring a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine.

Upcoming Tata Cars in 2026

Tata Motors will kick-start 2026 with the launch of the Harrier and Safari petrol SUVs, followed by the Punch facelift and Sierra EV. The electric iteration of the Sierra is likely to share its powertrain with the Harrier EV. Tata’s premium EV sub-brand, Avinya, will also debut in the second half of 2026. The next-generation Tata Nexon is likely to be unveiled the end of the year.

Upcoming Mahindra Cars in 2026

Mahindra & Mahindra is set to unveil the XUV 7XO (the XUV700 facelift) on 5^th January, followed by its market launch shortly after. The highly-popular Mahindra Scorpio N and Thar SUVs are also scheduled to receive midlife updates by mid 2026.

Upcoming Kia Cars in 2026

The next-generation Kia Seltos, featuring significantly improved styling, feature upgrades and enhancements, will go on sale on 2^nd January, 2026. The South Korean automaker will also launch the Syros EV by mid-2026, followed by the three-row Sorento SUV in the second half of the year. The Kia Sorento will be the brand’s first strong hybrid offering in India.

Upcoming Honda Cars in 2026

Honda Cars India plans to expand its product portfolio with the Prelude and ZR-V hybrid SUVs in 2026. These will serve as halo products, and will be brought to India via the CBU (completely built up) route. The Japanese automaker will also bring the Elevate and City facelifts in the second half of 2026.

Upcoming Skoda Cars in 2026

The Skoda Kushaq and Slavia facelifts are slated to launch in the first half of 2026, possibly in January. Both models will receive minimal design changes along with a few feature upgrades including Level-2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera. The German automaker might also enter the EV segment with the Elroq SUV.

Volkswagen India will roll out the Taigun compact SUV and Virtus sedan facelifts with minor changes in the first half of 2026. Rumour has it that the Volkswagen Tayron 7-seater SUV will also be introduced in 2026 as a replacement for the Tiguan Allspace in the H1, 2026.

Upcoming Renault Cars in 2026

The third-generation Renault Duster will make its India debut on 26^th January, followed by its market launch. The SUV will feature an all-new design language, a more upmarket interior and petrol engines. A hybrid variant will join the lineup at a later stage. The French automaker will also introduce the 7-seater version of the Duster in late 2026, which debuted as Reanult Boreal in global markets.

Upcoming Nissan Cars in 2026

Nissan India will kick off 2026 with the launch the Gravita three-row MPV in March, 2026. Based on the Renault Triber, it will be followed by Nissan’s version of the new Duster – the Nissan Tekton. This midsize SUV is expected to arrive by mid-2026.

Upcoming Vinfast Cars in 2026

Vinfast has confirmed its plan to launch the Limo Green electric MPV in the first half of 2026. The carmaker will also introduce its first mass-market EV – the VF3 – in the second half of the year. It will be positioned against the MG Comet, with an estimated price range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 10 lakh.
