Elevate Facelift & ZR-V Hybrid


Honda Motor Company announced its product offensive plan for the Indian market last year. The roadmap outlines the launch of 10 new models by 2030 including the 0 Series α electric SUV. As part of the new product strategy, the Japanese automaker will introduce the Elevate facelift in 2026. Here’s a brief look at these upcoming Honda SUVs.

The updated Elevate is expected to hit showrooms in the second half of 2026. The SUV might receive minimal design changes at the front and rear ends. The cabin could be updated with additional features such as a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats. The existing top-end variant already comes well packed with features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Honda Sensing ADAS suite, auto dimming IRVM, leatherette upholstery, four-speakers audio system and six airbags.

Under the hood, the 2026 Honda Elevate facelift will continue to feature the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating power worth 121bhp. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes as standard, while a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission will be available from V trim onwards.

Honda ZR-V

The Honda ZR-V will be the brand’s first hybrid SUV in India, with a launch expected in late 2026 via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. Globally, the SUV is available with a 143PS/186Nm, 2.0L petrol engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined power of 184PS. Transmission duties are performed by an electric CVT gearbox. The ZR-V comes with a FWD (front-wheel drive) system as standard, with AWD available in select markets. It does 0 to 100kmph in 7.8-8.0 seconds, depending on trim.

Measuring 4.56 metres in length, the ZR-V offers a long list of premium features including a 9-inch touchscreen with Honda Connect, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.2-inch fully digital driver display, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, auto dimming IRVM, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat, leather or synthetic leather upholstery, 12-speaker Bose audio system and more.
