Today Honor has announced that it’s partnering up with Kenyan marathon runner Sebastian Sawe, who currently holds the world record in marathon by going under two hours (1:59:30 to be exact). Sawe will be Honor’s newest brand ambassador.
Honor refers to him as its “Global Chief Running Partner”. Maybe that should be “Global Chief Human Running Partner”, though, seeing as how the company’s D1 humanoid robot has recently broken the human half-marathon record?
Anyway, “limits are made to be broken”, Honor says while also subtly teasing exciting things to come. The company is going to be launching the Robot Phone later this year, and it undoubtedly will also continue to develop humanoid robot technology.
