After multiple delay, the Maruti Suzuki e Viara SUV is finally set to go on sale in India tomorrow (2nd December, 2025). The EV is exclusively manufactured at the carmaker’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, and nearly 7,000 units have already been exported to key markets. When launched, the Maruti e Vitara will directly go up against the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.
Price Prediction
While the official prices, variant details and specifications will be revealed tomorrow, we expect it to be priced between Rs 20 lakh Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6 are currently available within the price range of Rs 18.02 lakh – Rs 24.40 lakh, Rs 17.99 lakh – Rs 20.50 lakh, Rs 17.49 lakh – Rs 22.24 lakh and Rs 18.9 lakh – Rs 17.65 lakh, respectively.

As with its global counterpart, the Maruti e Vitara will be offered with two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh. Both will come paired with a front-axle mounted electric motor. The dual motor and AWD (all-wheel drive) system will be available exclusively with the larger 61kWh battery pack. However, the dual motor variant is expected to arrive at a later stage.
The 49kWh, FWD battery version will deliver power worth 144bhp, and a claimed range of 344km per charge. The 61kWh FWD and AWD variants will generate maximum power of 174bhp and 184bhp, with claimed WLTP driving ranges of 428km and 394km, respectively.
